Easter

We must never underestimate the importance of Easter, a time when the world without realising it celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The world in general does not deny the existence of Jesus, but the world chooses to believe that Jesus died, and chooses not believe is the fact that Jesus arose from the dead. So what is the significance of the resurrection?

During His time on Earth, Jesus stated that He had authority to lay down His life and to take it up again (John 10:17–18) which verifies the truth of scripture.

Because Jesus died and rose again, we too shall one day be raised to be like Him (1 Thess. 4:13–18) which verifies our own future resurrection.

This gives for those who accept Jesus as their Saviour, a living hope and experience hopeful living. Because Jesus Christ is alive, we have a glorious future (see 1 Peter 1:3–5).

Whenever God’s people gather together on the Lord’s Day they bear witness that Jesus is alive and that His Church has received Spiritual Blessings.

BE inspired to join us this Sunday!
