Hope in Jesus is like an anchor for our souls. This ‘Spiritual’ anchor is different from material anchors on boats and ships in the sense we are anchored upwards toward Heaven. Unlike the anchors on ships and boats, our anchor is secure, it is steadfast and cannot break – it cannot slip or work loose.
That is because our anchor – Jesus, has gone ahead to Heaven so that we may one day be with Him when our time on Earth comes to an end.
However, an anchor is only as secure as that to which it is fastened – guarantee your place in Heaven by inviting Jesus as your Lord and Saviour today!
For if you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved – Romans 10:9-10.
