WHAT IS PEACE FOR YOU?

Peace, what a beautiful word, but rather sadly not many experience it. For some, it's the absence of disturbance, but for many around the world, it's a longing for a period in which there is no more war in their land. So what is peace for you?

As we navigate through life, it's easy to believe that all paths lead to the same destination. However, according to Scripture, there is only one mediator between God and mankind. That mediator is Jesus. He is the one who can lead us back to God. Without His guidance, we would be lost and unable to find our way back to our Creator. It's important to remember that it is through our trust in Jesus that we can experience the fullness of God's plan for our lives - His presence in our life changes everything.

It is probably true to say that most of us when asked, would assume that we will go to heaven when we breathe our last, but for some, that's just wishful thinking. The sole reason that God came to earth in human form as Jesus was to make a way for those who trust in Him, to be with Him in Heaven.

Unfortunately, so much of our attention is directed towards the negative aspects of this world and not heaven, when our priority should be to connect with God, our Heavenly Father - our true purpose in this life is to establish a relationship with Him.

The absence of graveyards, hospitals, and weapons in heaven provides us with a glimpse of the existence that awaits those who put their trust in Jesus - a place where death, sorrow, crying, and pain are no more. Such an existence for some is beyond imagination. Yet, it exists beautifully and peacefully for those who put their trust in Jesus, meanwhile, putting our trust in Jesus offers us heaven here on earth, offering us His peace in all circumstances.

So if you’ve found yourself feeling distant from God, perhaps trying to live life your way, or intentionally running in the opposite direction of your Creator, it’s not too late to turn around.

You can still come to God, admit that you can’t go through life alone, and seek His help. He’s a loving, forgiving, and healing Father specialising in making everything new - He never stops inviting us to draw near to Him.
